What is NDIS ?
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a government-backed initiative in Australia designed to improve the quality of life for people living with disability. It provides access to essential services, supports, and community connections that help participants achieve greater independence and live with dignity.
Through the NDIS, individuals can access health professionals, therapy services, educational resources, community programs, and recreational opportunities. It also connects participants to state and territory-based supports, ensuring that every person has access to the care they need.

01 : Living with Permanent or Significant Disability

Where is the NDIS Available?
The NDIS has been rolled out across Australia, ensuring that eligible participants in every state and territory can access the scheme. Children, young people, and adults can now connect with the program depending on their age and circumstances.
For example, in South Australia, participation has steadily expanded over recent years, with tens of thousands of residents now supported through NDIS funding. From early childhood interventions to programs for adults aged 18–64, the scheme continues to grow and provide opportunities to more Australians living with disability.
The rollout is now complete nationwide, meaning eligible individuals across the country can apply and begin accessing the supports they need.
