Position: Support Worker
Seeking dedicated Support Workers to provide one-to-one assistance, promote independence, and contribute to the well-being of individuals with disabilities.
Responsibilities:
At Aruma Support Care, our Support Workers play a vital role in helping participants live their lives their way. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing personalised, one-on-one support tailored to individual needs.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household tasks.
- Encouraging skill development and independence through everyday routines and activities.
- Supporting community participation, social connections, and recreational activities.
- Promoting safety, dignity, and choice in every aspect of care.
- Maintaining accurate records and communicating effectively with participants, families, and the Aruma Support Care team.
What We’re Looking For:
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to making a positive impact.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and flexibility to support participants’ individual schedules.
- Relevant qualifications or experience in disability, aged care, or community services (desirable but not essential).
- A current NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, and valid driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain).
